First-Ever Pheasants Forever/DNR Mentor Youth Hunt a Success!
Nov-13-2008 - The results are in from Minnesota's most highly-anticipated autumn event, and we're not talking about the U.S. Senate race. The first-ever Pheasants Forever (PF) special mentored youth hunt, co-sponsored by the Minnesota Department of Resources (DNR), allowed 200 youth the opportunity to experience a safe, high-quality outdoor experience. The DNR set up the structure for the hunt and promoted it, while PF chapter members served as mentors and organized the individual events. Forty Minnesota PF chapters participated in the event. Mentors from PF chapters throughout Minnesota were paired with youth hunters and their guardians. ...more

Pheasants Forever Television Nominated for Golden Moose Award
Nov-11-2008 - Pheasants Forever Television, a production of Ron Schara Productions which airs on Outdoor Channel, has been nominated for a Golden Moose Award in the "Best Bird Hunting Show" category. The Golden Moose Awards were created to recognize and honor producers of the best outdoor programming appearing on Outdoor Channel during the previous year. The Golden Moose Award Fan Favorite voting is scheduled to start Dec. 7th and will run until Dec. 31st. Fans will be able to log onto www.outdoorchannel.com and cast votes for their favorite Outdoor Channel show. First-Ever Bioenergy & Wildlife Habitat Forum Coming to National Pheasant Fest 2009
Oct-29-2008 - Pheasants Forever and Alliant Energy announce the first-ever Bioenergy & Wildlife Habitat Forum will be held at National Pheasant Fest 2009. Slated for February 6, 7 & 8, National Pheasant Fest 2009 will take place at Exhibition Hall at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wisconsin. The Bioenergy & Wildlife Habitat Forum will examine the future of bioenergy and the opportunities for wildlife habitat. Representatives from Pheasants Forever, Alliant Energy, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and nationally-recognized experts from around the country on the issue will be taking part in the Forum. ...more

KFAN Helping Build a Wildlife Area Campaign with 6th Annual Phone-a-Thon
Sep-29-2008 - KFAN radio (AM 1130) will host the sixth annual Build a Wildlife Area Phone-a-Thon on Thursday, October 2nd from 7 to 9 PM. The FAN Outdoors Phone-a-Thon has generated over $20,000 in the first five years of the partnership. Since 2003, Build a Wildlife Area campaigns have led to the dedication of seven new wildlife management areas (WMAs) in Minnesota. ...more
